Betty's is as much of a part of the city as is York Minster. Situated on St. Helen's square, the café has a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu as well as its own bakery (with an extensive range of bread, cakes and chocolates) and gift shop. Children are welcomed and have their own 'Little Rascals' menu; there is organic baby food, high chairs and toys for babys and toddlers. A pianist plays every evening between 6pm and 9pm. |

Once a brothel, the blue bicycle now boasts an impressive selection of nostalgic memorabilia downstairs. Upstairs you can enjoy the long list of fine wines overlooking the River Foss. The Blue Bicycle is well-known in the town for its high-end prices. It offers traditional cuisine such as fillet of Yorkshire beef and char-grilled chicken breast, and prides itself on its fish dishes and home made desserts.
