Indochine is an oriental restaurant serving food from several countries including Taiwan, Japan and Laos. It is different to most other Asian restaurants in York in that it serves it food 'tapas' style - as selections of different dishes. The restaurant itself is quaint with a good atmosphere. Whilst it was empty when we arrived, it soon filled up.
The food is delicious and eaten with chopsticks (which adds to the experience). The menus offers a lot of choice. I would recommend getting some dishes to share between you, as then you can order and try more. There are lots of meat, fish and vegetable dishes, as well as bigger rice or noodle dishes. It isn't too expensive, probably around £12 but you are full by the end. Each dish is £3 - £4 and depending how hungry you are, you eat three or four. The downside is that the dishes don't all come together, they're served as they are cooked, so we had already finished a few things before the rice came. Overall however, this is a restaurant well worth a visit.
