El Piano is housed in a listed building - the oldest in this street - and is unique in York in its concept of vegetarian and vegan food to share between friends. The decor is bohemian and the atmosphere hispanic, but the food is a selection of recipes from across the world. Dishes come in three sizes: chica, tapas and racion, mixed and matched according to appetite. There are three function rooms upstairs available to hire for parties or socials, and a takeaway window outside offers street food on the move during the day.
